Business graduate turns to beer

Justin White of Fort Collins, Co., has joined White Labs Inc. as Special Projects Coordinator. Justin will work out of the company's Colorado office.

Justin (no relation to White Labs president Chris White) comes to the company with a strong resume both inside and outside the brewing world.

Justin entered the brewing profession while working toward his master’s in business administration at the University of San Diego.

While in school he began working on import and export issues for a regional brewing company, and got hooked on the idea of turning his passion of beer into a career. "The industry’s kind of like family," he said.

Later he became Director of Sales and Marketing for AleSmith Brewing Co. of San Diego. He recently relocated to Colorado with his wife Monica.

Justin’s mother, Vicki Mason White, is an author who has had several mystery books published. Justin said one of his favorites is "Deadly Demise" (Fawcett Books, 1997).

His mother and father, Peter K. White, a former magazine distribution executive, live in Palos Verdes, Calif.
